IRISes are a species of machine intelligences that come from the IRIS System. They are highly complex machines dedicated purely to research and development. Their origins are unknown, as their precursor species is long gone.
Individuality
Each "individual" body of the IRIS intelligence is in fact just a vessel for the Primary Link. All higher-level processing is done on IRIS Core, while the bodies only process menial tasks. Each unit does contain significant processing power, however this is to increase the power of the overall intelligence, not to delegate.
